Surgery & cosmetic procedures

Speed up your healing by days or weeks.

Get back home, back to work and back to normal life sooner than you expect. HBOT supports wound healing, reduces swelling and helps tissue recover in the critical period after surgery. For people who would rather not just wait.

02

Before surgery and after. The result depends on preparation and healing.

Every procedure begins long before you enter the operating theatre. Whether you are still preparing for surgery or have just been through it, the same questions come up. Is it going as it should? When will you get back to normal life? Most people have no idea there is a way to actively help the body. HBOT is not an alternative to standard care — it is an evidence-based way to give the body optimal conditions for healing, at the right time.

03

What HBOT does for your body

Healing is a complex process. HBOT gives the body exactly what it needs.

Less swelling

Hyperbaric oxygen lowers pro-inflammatory mediators and reduces vascular permeability. Swelling subsides faster and the tissues are under less strain.

The wound closes faster

Oxygen is an essential cofactor for collagen synthesis. HBOT delivers enough oxygen to the tissues even where blood supply is limited after surgery.

The body repairs itself

Repeated sessions in the hyperbaric chamber stimulate the release of stem cells from the bone marrow, so the body activates its own repair mechanisms.

Lower risk of complications

A high partial pressure of oxygen inhibits the growth of anaerobic bacteria. HBOT lowers the risk of wound infection without antibiotics.

Better blood flow long-term

HBOT stimulates the growth of new capillaries in the affected area. Better vascular supply means a more lasting result.

A scar that shows less

Tissues that heal with enough oxygen form finer, less rigid scars. The difference is visible, both aesthetically and functionally.

04

HBOT works best when it is part of the plan from the start

Coming to us only after the procedure? That’s fine. HBOT makes sense at any stage of healing. The sooner you start, the better the conditions for the tissues.

  1. 01

    Before surgery

A few sessions raise tissue oxygenation and prepare the body for the stress of surgery. Healing then starts from a better position.

  2. 02

    After surgery

The first days and weeks are decisive. HBOT started as early as possible has the greatest influence on the speed and quality of healing. You can begin as soon as one to two days after the procedure.

  3. 03

    Recovery

We discuss the number and frequency of sessions with your surgeon’s recommendations in mind.

Technology matters. The difference shows in how you heal.

A hard-shell chamber. The highest pressure available in Prague.

As the only private practice in Prague we offer genuine HBOT at up to 2.4 ATA in a hard-shell chamber with a BIBS mask. We set the protocol individually according to the type of procedure and the stage of healing.

Maximum pressure
2.4 ATA

The level used in clinical settings. Other private providers in the Czech Republic reach 1.5 ATA at most.

Oxygen delivery system
BIBS

The only standard in serious hyperbaric therapy. Maximum oxygen concentration in every breath. No dilution, exactly where it belongs.

Oxygen purity
94%+

A professional oxygen station with filtration. Consistent values in every session.

Why a cannula (oxygen prongs) is not enough.

With a nasal cannula the client exhales back into the chamber. The exhaled air mixes with the oxygen from the cannula, raises the oxygen concentration inside the closed space above a safe level and at the same time markedly lowers the purity of what the client breathes in. BIBS is a closed system that carries exhaled air entirely out of the chamber, so every breath contains pure oxygen without dilution.

Frequently asked questions

When after surgery can I start HBOT?

Ideally as soon as possible after the procedure. In many cases you can start on the first or second day. The exact timing depends on the type of surgery and your overall condition. We recommend a consultation before your first session, so that we can take the specifics of your procedure into account.

Is HBOT safe with implants or stitches?

Yes. HBOT is routinely used after surgery, including with implants, joint replacements or stitches. The pressure in the chamber has no adverse effect on implants or stitches. If you have specific concerns about your procedure, discuss them with your doctor.

What if I have complications or a wound infection?

Complications are not an obstacle — quite the opposite. There is clinical evidence that HBOT helps with wound infections, thanks to its antibacterial properties and its ability to improve oxygenation of damaged tissue. If you are dealing with a complication, we recommend starting as soon as possible and coordinating with your doctor.

Should I coordinate HBOT with my surgeon?

We recommend it. Your surgeon knows the specifics of your procedure and can advise when it is appropriate to start. The better HBOT fits into the overall recovery plan, the better the results you can expect. If your surgeon has no experience with HBOT, we are happy to provide the necessary information.

I am already weeks past my surgery. Does HBOT still make sense?

Yes. Tissue healing continues for several months after surgery and oxygen plays a role at every stage of that process. Starting early is ideal, but a later start still makes sense, especially if healing has stalled or complications have appeared. Come for a consultation and we will assess where you are.
