Tissue hypoxia
Chronically damaged tissue has a limited oxygen supply. HBOT increases availability directly in the affected areas and restores the conditions for regeneration.
Every day with a chronic condition is demanding. It is a reality that creeps into every part of life. Fatigue that does not go away. Pain that limits you. Symptoms that come and go without a clear reason. And the feeling that you simply have to learn to live with it.
If you are dealing with problems that have lasted months or years and standard treatment has brought only partial results, you are not alone. A chronic condition is worth working on even when the path is not straightforward. HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) gives the body conditions for improvement that it otherwise does not get.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy acts on the processes behind most chronic conditions.
Chronically damaged tissue has a limited oxygen supply. HBOT increases availability directly in the affected areas and restores the conditions for regeneration.
HBOT lowers pro-inflammatory cytokines and supports the shift from chronic inflammation into the regenerative phase. The result is reduced pain and swelling.
Stimulation of new blood vessel formation in areas with limited circulation. A key mechanism in diabetic foot and chronic wounds in particular.
HBOT supports the renewal of nerve tissue and improves nerve conduction. Relevant in tinnitus and chronic neurological conditions.
HBOT stimulates the production and proliferation of stem cells, which support tissue renewal and regeneration.
HBOT modulates the immune response and supports the body’s ability to deal with chronic infection and inflammation.
HBOT improves blood flow in the inner ear and the oxygenation of auditory tissue, and calms the auditory nerve. In some clients the symptoms may disappear completely, in others their intensity is reduced. Results are individual and depend on how long the condition has lasted and on its cause.
Diabetic foot is one of the indications where HBOT has the strongest clinical evidence. Reduced circulation and chronic tissue hypoxia slow wound healing and increase the risk of complications. HBOT delivers oxygen directly into the affected tissue, supports healing and reduces the risk of amputation.
Chronic fatigue that does not lift even after rest often has its basis in cellular dysfunction and insufficient tissue oxygenation. HBOT stimulates mitochondrial function and supports energy production at the cellular level. Clients report improvements in energy, sleep and overall vitality.
Chronic Lyme disease leaves long-term effects in the body even after antibiotic treatment. Persistent fatigue, joint pain and neurological symptoms often have their basis in chronic inflammation and tissue damage. HBOT supports anti-inflammatory processes and the regeneration of affected tissue, which can ease persistent symptoms.
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disease that gradually damages nerve tissue. HBOT is not a replacement for conventional treatment in MS, but it can be a meaningful addition alongside standard care. It supports the oxygenation of nerve tissue and reduces inflammation, which can help ease fatigue and improve quality of life.
Neuropathy is damage to the peripheral nerves that shows up as tingling, pain or loss of sensation. The cause is often limited circulation and chronic hypoxia of nerve tissue. HBOT improves blood flow and oxygenation in the affected nerves, which can help ease symptoms and improve nerve conduction.
Other chronic conditions: HBOT can also be relevant in other chronic conditions where chronic inflammation, tissue hypoxia or immune system disorders play a role. Conditions we see include hormonal imbalance, chronic infection and autoimmune disease.
A hard-shell chamber. The highest pressure available in Prague.
As the only private practice in Prague we offer genuine HBOT at up to 2.4 ATA in a hard-shell chamber with a BIBS mask. We set the protocol individually according to the indication and the client’s condition.
The level used in clinical settings. Other private providers in the Czech Republic reach 1.5 ATA at most.
The only standard in serious hyperbaric therapy. Maximum oxygen concentration in every breath. No dilution, exactly where it belongs.
A professional oxygen station with filtration. Consistent values in every session.
With a nasal cannula the client exhales back into the chamber. The exhaled air mixes with the oxygen from the cannula, raises the oxygen concentration inside the closed space above a safe level and at the same time markedly lowers the purity of what the client breathes in. BIBS is a closed system that does not work with the chamber environment. It carries exhaled air entirely out of the chamber, so every breath contains pure oxygen without dilution.
The HPO Giza chamber in central Prague. Rigid construction, clinical pressure up to 2.4 ATA, a spacious interior for four people. Click to enlarge.
The initial consultation is always free. Packages reduce the price per session.

“After only a few hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions I noticed more energy, better concentration and a better overall physical and mental state.”
“After a single oxygen therapy session my post-operative scar looked completely different. I could not believe my own eyes. The team were very kind and professional.”

Not every chronic condition responds in the same way, and there are contraindications that we assess individually. Before you start we carry out an initial consultation where we assess whether HBOT is suitable for your specific situation.
We recommend informing your treating physician, especially if you take medication or have a serious medical condition. HBOT is an adjunctive therapy and brings the best results alongside your existing care. You have an initial consultation with us before the first session, where we go through your health and assess whether the therapy is suitable.
HBOT is not a replacement for conventional treatment, but an addition that can move the results to where the therapy alone has not reached. In most cases it can be combined with your existing medication and therapy. We recommend informing your doctor and discussing your specific situation with them.
